Day 4 .. November 09, 2007

Today we took the optional tour, Tjapukai, skyrail and Kuranda. At Tjapukai we learned about the Aborigine experience in Australia, we saw Aborigine dance, tried our hand at boomerang and spear throwing, were introduced to the "didgeridoo", an Aborigine musical instrument, and learned about bush medicine from a tribal medicine doctor. We then got on the Skyrail gondolas which were suspended above the rain forest and traveled 7 kilometers to the village of Kuranda with a couple of stops to walk some trails in the forest. At Kuranda we ate lunch and looked around the shops and city before returning by bus to our hotel.
