Day 14 .. November 19, 2007

Today we are leaving Queenstown. We made a stop at Arrowtown, an old gold mining town, on the way to the airport. We then departed for Auckland. Upon arrival at Auckland we visited the Nga Whare Waatea Marae for a traditional welcome (powhiri) and a Maori concert by enthusiastic non professional local dancers with discussion and question time. We were then taken to the Rendezvous Hotel where we will stay for 2 nights.
