Our First and Second Day ... June 27, 2000 ... June 28, 2000 |
| After a pleasant flight accross the Atlantic Ocean, we arrived in London, England, on Tuesday morning around 9:00am their time. There is a 6 hour difference so we had to move our watches ahead. We met our guide at the airport without incident and were put on a train along with other tour members to procede to our first hotel. We spent most of the afternoon catching up on sleep and adjusting to the time difference. We had an introductory dinner that evening and began the tour on Wednesday, June 28, 2000. We toured London viewing many of the traditional sites such as Big Ben, Parliment, the British Museum and the Hampton Court Gardens. That evening we took a boat ride down the Thames River and ended up at "The Angel" pub for libations in the English tradition. |
